How to Build a Growth Mindset With 5 Simple Steps

Category: Business

What if you can understand how to hack the power of your mind? I have always been intrigued by my memory and why I don’t remember certain things in life, why I wasn’t being productive, or maybe I was and I am being judgemental of myself. The question relies on your soul’s ability to want to know.

Your brain is a powerful engine, it is a machine and does not make the mistake that it is a useless part of your body. Thoughts and ideas stem from your mind. So let’s get straight into how to grow your brain, achieve success, and see the potential within you.

  1. Read like you never read before
    • Get interested in understanding your favourite topic area, if you find it boring as bat porridge, don’t read it. Put it down. If the language is too challenge, set your intention, and read a page a day. The language may be mumbo jumbo like dancing to the tango and you can’t understand it, it’s ok. It takes practice to read. If reading is not your thing then listen to podcasts, interviews, audios that would interest you.
  2. Create an Action Basket
    • Have one or two new actions a day that you want to strive for. Don’t do a long to-do list, it will eventually come as you pivot and question your learning. When you overdo it like getting into exercising, your body gets burnout and in this case, you don’t want to overwhelm the brain with too much information.
  3. Embrace the Spaghetti Mess and badly cooked food
    • We don’t know what’s coming, but if you set your heart to strive bigger and pursue your dream then all these challenges will be small, and with will power and time to think, you be able to get through the spaghetti mess. When you add sauce on top you know you have the answer. What I look forward to is just eating it up instead of untangling it for too long. I don’t know all the answers to every problem, but I do know that if you confront, reduce your ego and add sauce and spice on top, you will enjoy the delicious part of what you’ve cooked.
  4. Pass Me the Shovel
    • The perseverance is an emotional feeling we can tap into. If we know we don’t want to be XYZ anymore, then you start to permanently want to change your decision and thrive forward. When you ask “Pass the shovel” you know you aren’t looking at setbacks but let’s dig within ourselves on how we can temporarily empower ourselves and be equipped with more armor.
  5. Open to feedback on your chocolate cake
    • Sometimes we are so proud of what we have created, whether it’s baking a Six level chocolate cake. What I would love you to do is set aside feedback. Not feedback from your friends and peers. But from someone who is 10x you, the reason being is when you want to create something big, you need to ask for the right advice from someone who has mastered the area you want to move into. Why it will save you time, energy, and money. Mastermind groups are important to bounce ideas off and to leverage your network.

BONUS

Celebrate your seafood spaghetti with the people who have helped you on your journey. We can not live with a jealous life. We must commit to being humble with a slice of a lemon squeeze. Congratulate others on their journey, be empathetic, and celebrate every moment. Because the mind tends to look for what is lacking in our lives. You can’t grow unless you water your plants and throw good seafood on the plate. If your vegan then organic veggies in.

Remember you are not alone on this when you create that delicious meal, win projects, built the dream life, celebrate you, and the right people around you.
