Enjoying The Simple Things
As I wait for the school bell to ring waiting for Chanel to come out the school, I get to watch the scene unfold.
Slowly, the kids little shiny eagle eyes examine the yard looking for their mum or dad. Carrying 6kgs school bag-packed with books, empty lunch box, and water bottle, they will be running like a baby rhino as they glanced their mum or dad from afar.
The parent’s arms will slowly open like a hawk ready to fly, but in this case, their arms are like wings ready to give a warm tight embrace and catch their little mini.
As I watched this heart-warming scene, my eyes glistened to see such a wonder. They will be running towards each other like they have not seen each other in days! How beautiful!
Or…they just could not wait to get out of school?
And now I spot Chanel, I’m wondering whether she can spot me amongst the adults.
Her eagle eyes spotted me in a glimpse and not even a split second she runs towards me like wildfire or should I say, like Mel Gibson In Brave Heart
“MUM!!!” as I can see her tonsils and jumps into my embrace. “Pleasure thy salute”, Yep I smell freedom.
Smothered in kisses and hugs.
Another moment of joy.
That’s priceless.
Build a relationship with yourself and people around you will catch the same energy.
